Dr. Ehama earned her B.S. from University of Washington in 1985. She then worked at Craig Hospital in Colorado for over ten years. She received her Master’s in Business Administration in 1993. In 2003, she earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences.
She completed her Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency at Mt. Sinai School of Medicine in New York in 2008 and became board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2010.
Dr. Ehama had the honor to serve Southern Colorado women and families in her private practice in Pueblo, Colorado for over eleven years. Dr. Ehama specializes in pelvic floor gynecological surgeries, urinary incontinence procedures, vaginal hysterectomies and management of normal and high risk pregnancies. Her practice encompasses gynecological operations utilizing the DaVinci robot since 2015.
Her love for Alaska and the Kenai Peninsula community started in 2009 with frequent travel and temporary physician work at Central Peninsula Hospital in 2017.

da Vinci Robotic Surgery: Dr. Ehama specializes in performing gynecological surgery including hysterectomies utilizing the da Vinci robotic surgical system located at Central Peninsula Hospital. This high tech surgical system enables the surgeon to perform laparoscopic surgery utilizing a 3D high-definition camera and instruments inserted into the abdomen. The term “robotic” often misleads people. Robots don’t perform surgeries. The surgeon performs the surgery by using instruments via a console located in the operating room. Utilizing the da Vinci system is less invasive with a shorter length of hospital stay and faster recovery. Menopause: Dr. Ehama specializes in the evaluation and management of pre-menopause and menopausal symptoms using conventional FDA approved medicines and bioidentical hormones. There are many different options for the treatment of menopause. Each treatment must be must be individualized to each woman with a full evaluation of her specific health history and the many symptoms that can ensue during the menopause years.
